Lots of people try to be secretive about who they are, especially on the Internet or in a blog. Maybe that’s the smart way but we believe it’s only fair that you know us as real people, as family. Yes, we’ll tell you about things that we discover on the Internet that we think you want to see, think about, even buy through our personal links. We may even make money sometimes if you click on the buy button on one of our linked websites.
It amazes us that the Government thinks people on the Internet must be warned about profit motives. Actually, our goal is to help people think about their financial security, to set up a Plan B with streams of income to protect themselves and their family.
We’re not working on the lottery or trying to make free money. Most states have a lottery so you can make a gift to support your local school system without calling it tax revenue. You know the odds of winning so it’s your decision to participate. Personally, I do not give any of our funds to the lottery so you’ll never read my name in the paper as winning anything.
Sure, someone wins the lottery which is exciting to hear about. However, 80 million to ONE odds means that everytime ONE person has the winning ticket, 79,999,999 of your friends lost their money. If it’s entertaining or you’re having a good time thinking “what IF” and you see yourself tooling around in a new Corvette, a big house, swimming pool in the back yard, country club memberships, etc….. go for it!.
However, just in case you have to EARN your money, we think building a second income stream or plan B is simply good financial wisdom. Nothing will prepare your future security, self-worth, more than knowing you have the last word when your boss says, “this is your last day, pack your bags” and you can smile and say, THANKS a bunch. Today, if I had a job anywhere with great benefits, a good salary and all the perks, I would work on my Plan B for personal family security. In my own business career I was fired [terminated/downsized!] one time but that experience gave me a life-time memory of the wisdom to prepare for the future, just in case I get fired again.
Unfortunately, there are “holics” who can’t help themselves. Gambling, the lottery, drinking too much, it becomes an obsession and ends in trouble with the law and sometimes worse. Money is wasted rather than buying food , clothing, education for
the family. Spouse, children, even friends are hurt when bad happens.
