13 “POWER” Questions Every Employer Must Ask… and The Answers Every Future Employee Must Give…

As employers, there is an imperative to hire the TOP 20% of the “brain-power” pool that is available in the marketplace. Either by searching the unemployed rolls or finding potential employees who are seeking new challenges, salary enhancements, better perks, and others who want ownership opportunities.

You ask, “why the TOP 20%?” or the Best 10%?

Maybe only hiring folks who qualify at the “mensa” level will do.
[Look up the word “mensa” if it’s not familiar]. Employers must keep employees challenged with new goals and opportunities or they will get bored and move on.

Can we prove specific brainpower levels are the key to good hiring decisions.
In most cases it’s only a small part of the hiring process. Without skills and specific talents, no employee is going to be successful.

It’s true, some firms deliberately “over-hire” talent wise because they feel more education or particular skills will eliminate the less desirable candidates. One of those hard to measure guidelines for most of us. It probably sounds like a better idea than we have proof to validate.
