Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Educational Film Catalog (1937) This October number of the Educational Film Catalog is a cumulated number, containing all of the material which was listed in the January, April and July Supplements and also entries for about 200 additional films. It is supplementary to the main volume, published in 1936. About 990 films are listed. An effort was made to include worthwhile films which had been omitted previously because they were not known and therefore not voted into the Catalog by our collaborators. Necessary corrections in prices, etc. have been made and an especial effort was made to add the Distributor entry for as many films as possible. This Distributor listing is representative only and is not a complete list of all possible sources because new catalogs are constantly arriving. Fifty books on films, photography and related subjects are reviewed in the Book review section page viii. The compilers and the H. W. Wilson Company are most grateful to the collaborators who have helped so generously with advice and cooperation. A list of those who checked the lists and helped in many ways is given following this preface. Thanks are also due to the Producers and Distributors who have cooperated so willingly in sending us information and who are making every effort to keep us informed of their film activities.
