He then spent four years in the U. S. Coast Guard in the South Pacific, entertaining shipmates with cartoons and caricatures. Tony married his wife Gerrie in 1972 while living in Philadelphia. Then, in 1979, they moved to Cinnaminson, New Jersey, with their two children, Tony and Michele, where he found an outlet for his talent in the Saint Charles Borromeo Church Bulletin
