C: I love Christmas the most. It’s Jesus Christ’s birthday. K: How does that story begin again? C: Mary and Joseph were returning to his hometown of Bethlehem (伯利恆). K: That’s right. When they arrived at night, there were no rooms for them to stay. C: Yeah, they had to rest in a place for farm animals. K: Mary later gave birth to Jesus there, right? C: Yes. Some shepherds came to give him their love. Then, three wise men came with gifts. Part A：聖誕節故事 克里斯：哪個節日是妳最喜歡的？ 卡蘿： 我最喜歡聖誕節，那天是耶穌基督的生日。 克里斯：再跟我說一次那個故事的開頭是什麼？ 卡蘿： 瑪利亞和約瑟回到他在伯利恆的家鄉。 克里斯：沒錯，他們晚上才到，所以沒有房間可以住。 卡蘿： 對，他們只得在飼養農場動物的地方休息。 克里斯：後來瑪利亞就在那裡生下了耶穌，對吧？ 卡蘿： 沒錯，有些牧羊人前來祝福他，隨後三名智者帶著禮物前來。 Part B: Putting Up a Christmas Tree Carol and Kris are in their living room. 卡蘿和克里斯在他們家的客廳。 (Carol = C ; Kris = K) C: You picked a really great tree, Kris. K: Thanks. It’s going to look even better after we decorate it. C: That’s for sure! First, we need to put on the Christmas lights. K: OK. I’ll start at the base of the tree and then go to the top. C: That’s perfect! Let’s do the same with the string of popcorn. K: It’s starting to look like a Christmas tree. C: Yeah. Now, it’s time for the ornaments. I just love these little snowmen. K: Me too. However, the best is the star for the top of the tree. Part B：擺聖誕樹 卡蘿： 克里斯，你挑的樹很棒呢。 克里斯：謝啦，等我們裝飾好後看起來會更漂亮。 卡蘿： 那當然！首先，我們要掛上聖誕燈飾。 克里斯：好，我會從樹的底部開始往上掛。 卡蘿： 太棒了！爆米花串也要這麼掛。 克里斯：開始看起來像棵聖誕樹了。 卡蘿： 對啊，現在來掛裝飾品吧。我好喜歡這些小雪人喔。 克里斯：我也是，不過最棒的還是樹頂的那顆星星。 Part C: At a Christmas Party Kris and Carol are at their friend Nick’s Christmas party. 克里斯和卡蘿在友人尼克的聖誕派對。 (Kris = K ; Nick = N ; Carol = C) K: Merry Christmas, Nick! Thanks for inviting us to your party. N: Don’t mention it. I’m so glad that both of you are here. C: Happy holidays, Nick! I baked this apple pie to share with everyone. N: That’s very sweet of you. Everyone is going to love it. K: What should we do with these? They’re for the Secret Santa gift exchange. N: If they already have names on them, just put them under the tree. C: We also have a special present for you. N: Aw, you didn’t have to do that. Thanks, you two. Part C：聖誕派對 克里斯：尼克，聖誕快樂！謝謝你邀請我們來參加派對。 尼克： 不客氣，我很高興你們兩個都來了。 卡蘿： 尼克，佳節愉快！我烤了這個蘋果派要跟大家一起分享。 尼克： 妳真是貼心，大家一定會很喜歡的。 克里斯：這些東西要放在哪裡？是玩神祕聖誕老人交換禮物時要用的。 尼克： 如果上面已經有名字，就把它們放到樹下吧。 卡蘿： 我們也為你準備了一個特別的禮物。 尼克： 噢，你們不用這樣的，謝謝你們兩位。
