By the plan I have adopted, the volume fiill remains the fame in point of fize; but the reader be comes progre ively acquainted with the lite rary conneetions of Mr. Hume, the habits of him and his friends, and numberlefs traits in their characters, which could not be eafily or advantageou y compre 'ed into hi ory.
