The others represent confidential reports of private individuals or of geological departments of oil companies and other commercial concerns. The numerous contributors have been exceedingly generous. If some have been omitted from this list it is either because of the desire of the contributor or an oversight on the part of the writer. It is the writer's desire, however, that this list of sources be made as complete as possible. Needless to say, the state geologic map would not have attained its present approach to completion if unpublished maps had not been so generously given to the undertaking.
