He immigrated about 1640 to Greens Harbor near Plymouth, Massachusetts, and moved in 1642 to Gloucester. He married Sarah Caulkins in 1645, settled at Trynal Cove, and moved to New London, Connecticut in 1651. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa and elsewhere.
