Book excerpt: In the context of a plateau in the development of new methodologies for using nuclear magnetic resonance to investigate the structure of macromolecules, 21 lectures and ensuing discussions, and three panel discussions evaluate the status of the field and the directions it might take. The keynote address discusses the possibilities and limitations of NMR studies of the intramolecular dynamics of biomolecules.
