Book excerpt: This report seeks to present a review of the current status of coastal governance with regard to its compatibility with Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) in Sri Lanka. The purpose of this review is to support the preparatory programme of work of the Mangroves For the Future (MFF) initiative, and as such represents one of several studies commissioned that are to feed into this planning process for each participating country. To this end, it is envisaged the report will provide a resource for ICM practitioners and policy planners who may be involved with the MFF process both at the national and regional levels.
