He married Maria Catherina Reinick, daughter of Dietrich Reineck, in 1728. They had nine known children. They emigrated in 1748 and settled in Pennsylvania. Great grandson Samuel Hossinger was born in 1797 in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. He died in 1865 in Richland County, Ohio.
