But that could not be further from the truth, as the Word of God meets every spiritual need of every person. The letter of James shows us what Christian living is all about. Through a verse-by-verse study of James, grow spiritually and learn how to meet the challenges of and apply God's Word to the day-to-day living of one's faith. Rubel Shelly currently serves as president of Rochester College in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where he is also professor of Philosophy and Religion. A graduate of Vanderbilt University with a Ph.D. in philosophy, he worked with the Woodmont Hills congregation in Nashville, Tennessee for twenty-seven years, as well as taught classes at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Tennessee State University.
