Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with a word or a phrase banging around in my brain begging to be put to paper. I have learned not to ignore these messages from my muse and find that I have become a real night owl. The words compel me to search through my memories for the people, places and things that have embedded themselves in my heart and soul. These are the basis for my writing, which then takes on a life of its own. Some of the poems are about things that happened recently and some are but shadows of memories. I have been working on this collection for two years and am pleased to be able to share it with you.
