And Nancy (brown) Brackett. He began his education in the common schools of his native village, graduated from Colby (new Hampshire) Academy in 1861, entered Harvard Col lege, and graduated with the class of 1865, with highest honors, and as class orator. He subsequently graduated from Harvard Law School, was admitted to the bar, and entered upon practice in 1868.
