In March of 2001, I was diagnosed with COPD and Emphysema a death sentence. Fearing what the future had in store for me, I started developing an exercise program that I could build on. After just nine months, the results were amazing. I could mow my lawn without resting, and I had energy for everything. Seeing the results was exhilarating. This initial success was the inspiration for ongoing improvements and discoveries over the next fifteen years. My doctor has said that if it wasn't for my exercise program, I would be in a wheelchair. The most recent addition to my story is the discovery made by my doctor when he checked my pulmonary tests, taken July 2016, a first-ever positive result. My pulmonary value, a number that normally decreases over time, had increased! I also wrote about how I quit smoking in this book.
