Clark was Inez Clark's brother-in-law. Two of the letters are addressed to his nephew, Walter, and the remaining letter and envelope are addressed to Inez. In 1942, Clarence was in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and Bradley Field, Connecticut. He was still at Bradley Field in 1943 and was stationed in England in 1944.;Letters, postcards, and V-mails to Inez Clark and her youngest children from her three eldest sons and brother-in-law, who served in separate engineering battalions in the United States Army in the European Theater of Operations and the Pacific Theater of Operations.
