Book excerpt: This publication surveys the life's work of an artist who arrived in Australia in the early 1950s having already undertaken art studies in Germany, England and Scotland. She had also travelled to America to witness, first hand, post-war developments in the New York art world. The extravagantly illustrated book, with wonderful photographs by Mark Strizic, John Gollings, Jacqui Henshaw, Robin Whittle and others, attempts to document the majority of the artist's sculptures and works on paper produced over her decades in this country.
