Book excerpt: The purpose of this thesis is to inspire and empower Christian families to create and celebrate rituals of their own making throughout the liturgical year. If families are provided with the theological foundation of their roles as the domestic church, they will better appreciate the sacredness of family, the sacredness of home, the sacredness of time, and the sacredness of ritual. Through my own experience of creating and celebrating rituals throughout the past twenty-five years and presenting workshops encouraging parents to do the same, I recognize the value of a faith formation process which nurtures a family spirituality. Crafting such a process and providing families with some practical tools to nurture a family spirituality is the objective of this thesis.
