Book excerpt: In this edition I try to point out to the reader how our current political system is dangerously corrupt and is very divergent to the thoughts and ideas of our framers by using quotations from Thomas Jefferson. Although he was not immediately involved in writing the Constitution of the USA as he was in France as our ambassador, we do know that he was in regular contact with the Framers via mail; hence, I am therefore forced to draw the conclusion his input was there. The Democratic Party from its grass roots during the Great Depression has been transformed into a Socialistic Party and has “Fellow Travelers” in our elected Congress. Current actions by notable Democratic Leadership members are cited to show the reader how far left this group has gone. Lastly, suggestions are made on how to correct this politically corrupt situation.
