The NEWYEM econometric model of the Yukon economy produces conditional forecasts of employment, income and population change in Yukon. The Yukon Socio-Economic Impact Analysis model (SEIAN) is designed to front end NEWYWM to prepare estimates of the initial impacts of significant events that break with the past so that these estimates can be used to adjust the simulation properties of the econometric model. The SEIAN model also produces measures of major project employment-related impacts.
